do you want to be part of something big? want to feel like you are making a difference? like you matter? made feel validated?I am commited to making a change! so, i am posting this board! list some things, not like a million, but a few ways you can make a difference here on the zone. i agree with the idea that,* the zone is driven by its members* so, here is my contribution.
1. creat a virtual zone public trading stock. stock value will be based on the amount of points you have. shares will be worth not cash but say so.
2. clear up some, if not most of the language used on the terms of agreement.
3. pay the cl's some kind of cash! maybe not humndreds but something. maybe cash, or prices. reward them.
LOL, I want to make a difference in the world around me of course, but the zone? I don't know. I've seen so many things not get done around here, taht i think it's kind of hopeless to ask for anything else. lol
Guess I'm not that ambitious, so anything I don't particularly care for I just gloss over and will enjoy the rest. The Zone is a great place to hang out though and it's cool for the times you just need to lighten up.
making a difference in the world? yes. making a difference on the zone? - - not going to happen, let me tell ya...
the zone will never do much changing, as long as we have the current cl staff. but here are some suggestions I can offer.
1. All and every cl should be required to hang out in publics, most of the time when they are logged in. unless they're just approving zone accounts or tracking someone who is about to get banned. None of this lurking in the background bullshit.
2. If a cl is inactive for a period of 30 days, without some sort of valid reason, like a life catastrophy or crisis, they should be asked to resign and allow someone else to take over.
3. There should be some kind of voting system in place where we as the zone population, elect the zoners for cl. Say they have 3 or 4 potential cl applications that they want to approve. We vote 1 time, and the person with the most votes, wins the new cl spot. I've seen chris do a voting system before for what to do with the points, so it's obviously within his power to set up some sort of poling system.
Those are just a few suggestions as to how I think the zone could be a better place, and to how we the users, can make a difference here. But as I stated previously, with the staff we have now, I'm very skeptical that anything will change.
Carlos, the cl's do get payment. They get a lifetime premium membership to show for their troubles. So don't you think that's payment enough when the rest of us have to actually pay for ours?
